111 in the 1/4 is not to shabby stock.

An R/T challenger is at least 8 mph slower. Chrysler will have a fire sale on Challengers by fall.

MotorTrend is out testing on a public road, or am I seeing things? lol

Pretty impressive numbers. Love the design.

Just got done watching myself after seeing the discussion on LS1tech. The SS looks like a great car all around.

I don't think so. The Challenger has it head over heals in the looks department and that's what sells. Don't get me wrong, I like the new Maro, but most people who buy these are not weekend warriors bracket racing them. And then there are those (me included) who think the new Maro will be a very short lived car and hence not much in the way of corporate support(parts) from GM. I hope i'm wrong, but I think we've not seen the worse of whats to come in this country and people just won't buy a car like the new Maro in large numbers. :frown:

When are they going to be available?

The dealers i talked to don't know. One of them said early april on sold orders, another one said july, or if its a late order maybee next year. They are selling for window sticker around this area.

Camaros and Firebirds were way above the Mustang in the looks department in the 1980's but the mustang outsold them 2:1 because it was cheaper and faster.

I was in the market for a New Challenger, but based on the road tests I've seen, the Challenger R/T isn't much faster than a 80's 5.0 Mustang.

In a world of twin turbo, $40K 135i BMW's, I'd like to have a car that was a little quicker than the one I had 22 years ago.

When the New Camaros hit the streets and aftermarket parts are available, I'm confident they will be a winner.
