I just installed an Autometer electric trans temp gauge and saw some high readings tonight.

I took the car for a 15 minute ride, and the gauge just kept creeping up to past 250 degrees, and never fluctuated. The tranny shifts just fine and shows no signs of slipping.

I installed the sender on the lower of the two transmission cooler lines right off of the case. Please tell me I installed the T on the feed side:) The research I did says that the lower line is the return line, but if it is, I would of thought the tranny would be slipping bad with those temps?

Any ideas?
