I believe it’s 83 . I have one in my 83 project.I also have a 044 block that’s a 4.1 Buick that I can’t find much info on . It has all the good stuff as the 291 block just different casting number

i have heard 044's were caddy's, what year?

044's were some of the last 4.1's made. I had a 4.1 out of an 82 Caddie that was a 484.
