295/60r15 on 4" bs??? stock rear width

Hey just reconfirming that a 295/60r15 tire will fit nicely in the back with a 4" bs rim and stock width rear. I remember seeing prior that a 4.5 bs is too close to the inner wheel well and the 3.5 being too close to the quarter panel and that a 4" bs would be just right. Can i get a confirmation on this?

With a 8" wheel, 4 would work however I believe that a 3.750 would be better. Of course your lips are going to half to be rolled.

just wondering what you figured out on this i want to run my 295 50 15 on a z28 wheel 15x7. they rub. they have a 4.25 back space and i need to order some spacers but im not sure how much i have to add to get these to clear.im thinking that 1 inch spacer would be enough but i dont want to have a problem on the quarter panel. can some one with some backspace experience chime in please
