Well, I sold my 87 T-Type..... now the short block build I started has to go....... willing to sell as is or finished... up to you...here is what I have done so far...
Virgin turbo 3.8 109 block......cylinders are std bore but a little out of round..will need a bore & hone...you can get away with .010 over
( I was going to use a .020 over diamond piston)
-the block was hot tanked, thermal cleaned & inspected
-we decked the pan rail .003 (yes the pan rail) to make a nice flat suface for the girdle
-we replaced the 2 center & front main caps with Billet caps
-Line bored & Honed
-installed CAT girdle (put another 2 hours into girdle on the mill to clean up & fix clearances
-installed a CAT 4340 forged stroker crank 3.625 clearances on mains are almost done....very minor polish to crank to clean it up..will to set the clearances where you would like them..tight or loose.... I was going for
.0020-.0024....will tighten it up if you like
All in all it will need the rest of the short block parts... I willing to finish the build for someone or will sell as-is. I will post pics up. Please only serious people reply... not looking to waste your or my time!
CAT crank------------$500
CAT girdle------------$175 with about $200 in labor to make it fit right
Billte Caps------------$225
109 Block ------------$300
King Main bearing set--$30
deck the pan rail, cut the billet caps for girdle, line bore & hone, polish crank
I hand another local machine shop do the line bore & hone sense we don't have the attachment yet
I have about $1600 in it now...taking REAL offers.... IM me for anymore info
