I have a friend that is a machinist that offered to make a pair of replacement rocker shafts at work out of 303 stainless, when he started, he noticed that the oririginal shafts were made of some type of heat treated steel. He was concerened about the strength of the non-treated stainless shafts compared to the originals. Should this be a concern? I would think 303 solid shafts would be stronger than the original hollow shafts. Am I wrong? Can some one help. Thanks, John Lynn. clusolynn@excite.com or clusolynn here at turbobuick.
