Yes you can....All you need is three wishes granted by the Genie you found in that majic lamp 
All kidding aside, they are different engines.....Similar, but different in important ways. You can tune and modify the 3800 for impressive performance, but it will never be a GN (LC2) engine.

lots of available replacements!
the 3.8 sII are sure plentiful but the installation would be shortly followed by statements like
"were did the crank go?"
"i cant believe i spent all that time getting it to fit!"
"who put grey toothpaste in my oil?"
well realistically, if you did the engine swap, as long as the boost was kept down, the motor would live.
a 4.1 cadilac would get the horses without the boost
