I don't know if this is the best place to post this thread but here goes....

My name's Kevin and I'm from NC. I have a 2001 Camaro with the 3800 Series II motor. I had to pull the motor due to some misfortunes but I have some buddies who have put together turbo kits on their 8 cylinder motors so I've decided to build the motor up so I can put a pretty good amount of boost to it. I'll have forged pistons, rods, and rod bolts. My compression will be 8.5:1. I'm not messing with the heads just yet. I also have a turbo cam. I was just wondering what you all would recommend when it comes to choosing a turbo size and where to get it from? The guys at the engine shop said I should probably run 12# at the least. But I'm not trying to set a record here or anything like that. I'm just looking for some good power to beat up on my 8 cylinder Camaro buddies. But I know a guy on the internet that is running a T-70 on pretty much the same setup I'm going to have and he was making 459rwhp and 510tq. Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. I just can't make up my mind about what size turbo to go with. Thanks!!

without heads on a series II, you would not want a t-70, are you going to have turbo headers or stock manifolds? ICed or not?

I would look at www.clubgp.com/forums in the turbo section and ask them, lot of knowledge over there. If you want a direct answer, www.stattama.com and send matt m an email with a list of mods that you will have, he will point you in the right direction

There's a few guys experimenting around with some turbo headers so I'm hoping to get a set. And it will be ICed. Thanks for the help. I'll check those sites out.
