Hey guys besides using a # 4 easy out, sprial type that didnt work for me or I'm doing it wrong, or there any more tricks to removing this joker ?

How are you trying to use it?
I know I have had to take a punch/chisel and fold the edge over and grab it with a needle nose pliers.

first time removing one so i call myself doing it like the book said and use a No# 4 easy out, sprial type figuring it would grab the top an be able to pull it out but easy out is not gripping,, its about a 1 1/2 inches down in a 3/8 hole, u must have very small long nose needle nose pliers??

Trans been sitting for a very long time and I'm going thru it and while checking it I noticed it was stuck so I need to replace it, GM could not have put that sucker in a easier location.

Maybe a way to use a greasegun like when you use it to "pump" out a pilot bearing in a crankshaft?

That won't work cause the lower part is exposed to the 1-2/servo. Let me see if I can find a pic.

I believe I'm using the wrong type extractor, I'm using a NO#4 sprial type.
