Ok Ya'll it is time to announce The 2005 Lone Star Buick Brand X Bash...

Place: Temple Academy Dragway (Temple, TX)
Date: March 5th 2005 ----- (Rain Date March 12th 2005)
Arrival Time: Gates open @ 9:00 am ----(BBQ to be served at 11:00am)
Cost: Spectators - $10 --- Racers $25 -(entry -$10 ---$15 to race)
Payouts ---- to be announced (last year was $200 first place and $100 for the top two buicks only not for X'ers)
Hotel info to be announced.

This year we will have a BBQ trailor on hand instead of a grill (waiting on food should not be an issue). Lunch will be provided. T-shirts will also be available at the track. We have 9 sponsors and a few more that we are waiting for to reply.

The past two years at this track have been a blast. First year was 35 cars last year was 50 cars. Let see if we can run them out of the place this year...

If you have not been to this track you are missing a great time. the track is just like a park. Lots of tree's, lots of food, and lots of race gas!

I noticed on the race way web page it says the track is 1/4 mi for street cars, 1/8 for drag cars. For this race is it a 1/4 or 1/8?

Check out the tracks website:D

It's Buick vs. The World!
There is also a Forum there if you want to stir up the Brand X'ers.
You can post as a guest.

If you pay to race, are you automatically entered in the racing competition, or is there a test n tune?

Though, I guess if you are paying, you might as well compete. Is it a bracket race?

Ross

It is a bracket race - Street meet. If you pay to race at the track you will be included into our buick event deal also as long as you drive a buick powered vehicle. (yes vehicle - We have a 455 powered chevy truck, a 69 camaro with turbo 6, and a 68 rambler with a turbo 6. and possibly others) hope this helps. I would not miss this event it is a fun time.
