I wanted some input as far as changing my stock radiator out for the aluminum 3rd gen Camaro radiator. I know that the 3rd gen radiator doesn't have the cooling line hookups and want to know if it is a wise decision when I have the PT&E 6765 DBB turbo?

Are you concerned about temps by not using the oil cooler??

If so, put an air to air oil cooler on it and use the 3rd Gen Rad for the trans ( along with an air to air ).

Some ways to help out none oil cooled cars is thicker oil ( higher 212 viscosity ) and adding quarts ( PTE relocator, huge filter etc ). I use 10-40 with the PTE and a Preluber to increase capacity and don't have an oil cooler. I change oil anywhere from 1k to 2k miles tops.

yes worried about temps. I was thinking about the PTE turbo saver. But will the tranny cooler lines bolt up to the 3rd gen. radiator?

PTE will add at least a quart I believe and is a nice upgrade. Now your oil capacity is about 6 quarts and I'd run 10-40 and not worry. Well, unless you drive it sit and go for an hour everyday in hot weather and then do a 1/4 mile run right before you shut it down.

I don't think it is a bolt on, there is a thread that stated the needed adapters to get it to work. Do a search for F Body Radiator Fittings and see what comes up. Most guys call it the F Body Rad. ;)

If the motor runs cool, so will the oil. I have just install a F body rad and dual spals on my buddies GN. The car will idle with the AC on at 160 on the T stat.
We pulled the oil cooler off it. My GN didnt have one, neither did my T Type. Buick had reasons for running them, but we eliminate lots of those reasons when we go to aftermarket chips, T stats, big radiators , fans ect..
