I purchased a Buick 4.1 motor from a guy who as he put it, "sunk quit a bit of green into it". The closest I can tell by looking at the block, the number is 25506484 (the casting #'s overfilled the mold and are blurred). The machine work was done at Smeding Performance in Rancho Cordova. As the gentleman I purchased it from went on to describe and I can attest to, the block is an o-ring block that has been decked and the interior of block deburred. The crank is fully polished, balanced and stress relieved. Crank and rods are balanced nitrite coated and hardened. It has Federal Mogul high silicon turbo pistons and the heads were described as high flow big valve heads prepped by B.C. Geralomy also in Rancho Cordova.
My questions are:
#1 Is this a valid block number and is it desirable?
#2 How do I figure out what turbo crank this thing has?
#3 How do I identify the heads?
Thank you guys in advance for any help you may offer.
