4 wires in trans don't know what 1 is? And....

I know that 2 wires go to the TCC solenoid and 1 goes to the 4th gear switch but what is the last wire for?

Also when looking at the bottom of the trans with the valve body off from left to right there is the TCC Solenoid then the pump bore and then something I can't identify. It looks like a circular cap pressed into the case in the upper right corner. What is this? My guess is that it is the TV Boost valve but I have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Extra wire is for the 3rd gear pressure switch.
You are right, that is the TV boost valve.
Don't know af any Trans books, but I imagine someone else does.

Wow, where is the 3rd gear pressure switch? When I look at the valve body I see a pressure switch going into the side of the valve body, I guess it has to be that one but there is no tab at the top of it like on the 4th gear pressure switch. Am I broken?

if it doesnt have a terminal on it it is broke and you must replace it .if its broke all the way thru you can loose third clutch oil and bweurn the clutches .i ve seen that 2 xs.www.ckperformance.com
