Some might have seen or heard about this already, but I saw a show on the History channel the other day that showed the car and gave some info on it so I figured I'd give it a mention....
Pretty damn awesome and it could be the future of Top Fuel drag racing considering the power they are making with only 4 cylinders...... I'm curious what an 8 cylinder motor would make with the same technology applied!!!!!

just an other silly ricer that thinks he can run with the v8s :)

that is damn impressive!

i guss that car is cool and every thing but for some reasion it looks like a sex toy to me:confused:

I saw that a while ago, but did you see how thick the block was? The pistons were huge.

I did alot of work with Bob on that car. Without a doubt the most lethal sounding engine I have ever heard, truly awesome.

There were still alot of hurdles to be overcome when that show was filmed. We were lifting heads, destroying EGT's, still sorting out the fueling, working out the clutch setup...

Bob had a few other opportunities present themselves which now occupy all of his time, the Jotech/Quaker State Honda Racing Program and a new pro FWD car/team he and a few buddies are working on, so the max4 car will never materialize.

That's too bad about the max4 because it was/is really an interesting project with a lot of potential.... It must be pretty cool to work with a guy like Bob Norwood on different projetcs!

Thanks for chiming in Chris:)

Later.
