Can I use a 4L60E behind my 3.8? It's out of a 99 Tahoe.

You can! However, you would need: New driveshaft, bellhousing adapter, trans mount set-up, transmission controller, a converter, and most likely a great performance build.

Waste of time....basically even after all hastle of getting in there and functioning it's still weaker than a 200r.

You don't show what part of the country you are in but I know David Husek as well as others do shipping.
I had a 700r4 in mine for a lot of years but I'm back to a 2004r.

How much power are you planning to put through the trans?
