Got a local guy here who needs his 93 built up to handle what he claims is going to be 500hp for his Fierro project. Has anyone built one up to be able to handle at least 400hp? He also wants to swap out final drives to get a 3.30 instead of his calculated 3.08 set. I have rebuilt lots of stock units and small upgrades like the Gil Younger shift kits but not for some serious performance. Thanks.

Eric that was Eric Shertzs special area.I know he had alot of parts made for that.I am sure there is a company making a drive sprocket shaft and some other items. You can do a search and find them.I believe alto makes an input clutch pack and direct clutch pack for that as well.

Thank you Chris. I knew somebody did it, just couldn't remember who. I will search some more. No luck so far but I will not give up. R.I.P. Eric S. :frown:

There is not much needed for 500hp
I have a "never opened, 100k mile" 4T60E behind a S1 3800 with turbo, and it has lasted 115mph trap speed with 2935lb Fiero the whole season(~50 passes).
That is roughly 420hp at the crank

Thanks. I am checking into some parts still as so is the owner. He is adament about spending cash on this trans. He spent untold amounts on his 700 in his 55 Chevy with a monster big block so he wants to equal the amount in this trans I guess. :D I found a site that has some good stuff, but just need to let him make the decision as to how far he wants to go.

Final drive pinions are weakest link in the 4T60E/4T65E, best factory carriers are late model Supercharged 4T65E's, aftermarket has offerings but are quite pricey.

Kevin.
