6 point roll cage

I will be having a cage done soon and buying supplying the welder with the metal this allows me to get the best product at the best prices. But if anyone had done this before, how much steel needs to be ordered?

A cage is not a 6 pt. Be sure you keep that in mind when buying.
I'll wager you buying the steel, and having it bent, is not going to be more economical than a kit...BTDT.

But the kits purchased in the recent past had such terrible fitment this route seems the better way to go. Not too concerned with economics as much as getting a better result for the same price. This is not a drag car BTW but rather road race regal..
