600cfm too much?

Rebuilding an edelbrock 600 for my build, Performer intake,cam,headers,dual exhaust,and eventually ported heads. I was originally planning on a 500 but this came my way. I see people running big carbs so I am curious to know if I should down jet the 600 or not for my build.

Run it as is for now. It's probably a little rich if it was tuned for a v8. GB

If it's an eldebrock get a tuning kit. Rejetting it isn't brain sugery after all. A 600 will work fine for your build.

In my exprience the Edelbrock carbs run a little on the smaller (size) side anyway so you will be more than fine. I run a Holley 600 and still have fairly large jets in it. They take more than you would think.
