I have an all original 64 malibuSS that I will be restoring in the future and I am thinking about using a GN drivetrain. Can anyone give me some info on an early GM hybrid? I don't want to chop anything to make it work so it could be returned to stock, I think it could be a bolt in conversion short of the electronic upgrades.

2 or 3 people have put gn drivetrains in 64-65 Buick Skylarks.
Basically the same car as the Chevelle.
No problem at all.

Straight up easy. I did it in three weeks. Use the turbo tranny and move the tranny crossmember back aout 4 inches, stock chevelle driveshaft...I did my own wiring but a lot of guy go to casper's electronics for the piece he makes.
Of course the 64/65 chevelles may differ in driveshaft length but probably not.
