This 442 convertible is one of only 5142 made. It is all matching #s from the carb, alternator, and air cleaner all the way back to the rear differential. 400/325 hp big block, Turbo 400, 3.42 gears, posi, dual exhaust with correct trumpet tips. Only 83k miles since new.

Optioned with ice cold AC, PS, PDB, light package, console, buckets, etc. Correct R2 red with correct maroon interior (very rare color combination).

Interior is show quality in every way and has had meticulous attention paid to it. Every light bulb works, every piece of trim is either perfect original or new reproduction. Only derivations from stock are a matching 4 spoke 442 wheel and an AM/FM cassette (dash not cut). To give you an idea of how nuts the previous owner was, he actually disassembled the foot pedal brackets and blasted and painted them before reinstalling. That is how nice the interior is.

Exterior is gorgeous, laser straight, and a mile deep. Every piece of trim was removed, polished and reattached after the correct respray. All correct emblems present, as well as black fender stripe. Has had correct quarters put on, but all other panels, floors, and trunk are unpatched originals. Top is black, power operated, and like new with glass rear window.
Matching boot fits perfectly. Trunk is detailed, including jack, spare, and mat.

Engine bay is show quality throughout. Everything disassembled and blasted painted, and reinstalled. AC converted to R134. Master cylinder is only non-original item underhood. Even the original alternator was sent out to be rebuilt and reinstalled.

Undercarriage is remarkably clean, and has been given lots of detail time and attention.

Car wears mint 15 inch SSII wheels with stainless trim rings and new BFG Radi$al TAs. Also comes with the original SSI 14 inch wheels.

You simply will not find a more correct, well executed real #s matching 442 convertible than this. Everything works and the car can be driven anywhere. If this were a Chevelle SS 396 convertible, it would be $75k.

This one can be had for half of that. $37,500 obo. Many pics available for serious parties.

Spring is around the corner, and this is an investment that can be driven. It in no way is going anywhere but up in value.

No thanks. That car is sold anyway.....I need to update the site. Sorry.
