So I went for another drive tonight and beat on the car a bit, brought it back to my old work/shop did a burn out for the guys than drove off down the road and bamm, tranny is slipping. Mainly second. Pulled into a parking lot checked the fluid, smelled the fluid and didn't smell burnt.

This is a new motor build on a car that hasn't run in 4 yrs. (drivetrain) I had beat on it a couple of times before but never had a problem.

I am wondering if you guys think that my -8an lines going to my b&m tranny cooler could be causing part of this problem? Most people said go -6an but I had the -8an stuff and decied to use it.

It's cooling down tonight and I am going to drop the pan and change the fluid and filter tomorrow night and see what happens.

Any help would be great.

Brandon!
