I was at the Chicagoland GSCA meeting where Jimmy Hussein was giving a presentation. He noted that the D5 convertor is a 1996 stall. When I had my '82 TR's 350C rebuilt, I went with a 1996 stall, as this was the highest stall listed as stock that year. So I was wondering what the stall for my '83 T Type w/ a 200-4R would be? Would it be 1996 and would this be the same TC as a D5? Are there any sites that list the stock stalls by model/year? (The Buick parts books don't list the stall.)

If it's nota 1996, there seems to be plenty of good, used D5's out there that might find a new home in my '83. :)

Thanks!

It should be around 2450 or so......

That would be the "brake stall" right? But what about the number that would be listed in a parts book (eg the D5 being a 1996)?

I guess the real question is "will the '83 TR have the same TC as the 84/87 TR?"

Answer is....

Yes.

Would you like one? :D

Hehehe

If you have one then you are set. Put it in and go have fun...:)
