Yes 84 and 85 were the same, both hot air.

Hot air cars were the 84 and 85 models. Earlier models as well, but not after 1985.

86 and 87 were intercooled, hot air was not an option.

Do you need and 84/85 harness or something?

im getting a 84 harness from camfreek.Im just making sure it will fit becouse i have what is beleived to be an 84 hot air but it maybe an 85,it is definately hot air fuel injection 84 or 85

There are two harnesses for the 84-85 Hot Air cars. The only real difference being the one used on some of the 1985 cars with the Powermaster brake booster. It will have the additional wires for the PM along with a fuse down in the fuse box. They should interchange though.

84-85 LM9=Hot Air
86-87 LC2=Intercooled

LOL Hopefully this 84 harness i got from camfreek will make this a steak and eggs meal insted of spagetti

can someone identify the harness in the pic, it is a mystery to me.

thats an 86- 87 harness............. an 84-85 is half of that mess, keep that harness I'm sure you can sell it!

I noticed in the PIC that the alternator is in the 86/87 position. Also electric fan. Was this car an incomplete conversion to the 86/87? You either go back to the Hot Air or continue to the intercooled. Good luck. Brad

X 2...I agree with Brad, the alternator is on the 86/87 side, serpentine pulleys, A/C piping, and brake unit is all different...Might want to check the VIN and see what you really have, and then decide which way to go.
