84-85 manaflds on a 83

I was just wondering if i could use manifolds of an 84-85 on my 83.

If you are talking about the headers and crossover, then yes. I have a rewelded 84 on the passenger side of mine.

Yes, but you need the right crossover to go along with them. The 81/82 were narrower.


I don't like the tube header. Everything I read about turbo system preferred cast iron. Their only drawback is weight. I'll take a few pounds over cracking. Both my manifolds cracked with only about 50,000 miles.


I use 1980 cast manifolds with the 83 crossover and up-pipe. Take a look here...

So that means the aftermarket headers for the 84-85 should also work for the 83. Right?

Yes the poston headers for the 84-85 bolt up to the 79-83 carb turbos too
