Been tinkering on my 84, tore it down replaced plugs, plug wires, injectors, injector wires and chip, intake manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter. and many other things before this.
Car when trying to start it takes multiple tries before it fires and then you have to sit there feathering throttle for awhile before it will sit and idle on its own. Then it will sit and idle fine all it wants.
Try and put it in gear drive or reverse and it will creep on its on either way but when you try and push the gas pedal down to accelerate it stumbles and fall over itself. It was doing this before the tear down and was the reason i decided to go and replace what i talked about above. Does anyone have any suggestions or advise? Next step is the fuel pump in the tank as pressure on the rail is still only 32psi at its max so my non mechanic brain is thinking that is what's hindering the injectors maybe not getting enough fuel. One positive thing is the fuel pressure doesn't immediately bleed down like it did before the tear down.
Thank you for any advise and suggestions!
