84 coil and module

How can u tell what type of coil module u have.Are there and specific numbers on it that tell what type of coild and module it is.

i don't think they where interchangeable with any other engine. are you not sure if you have the stock style 84/85 coil pack and module or the 86/86 style?

This is it im not sure if the coil and module is an 87 or an 84. Car wont start sensors are good, ecm has power, coil has power from the 2 pink wires on it but no 12,volts coming out to the crank sensor or the cam sensor? maybe it is an 86/87 coil im using with the 84/85 setup.

The 86/87 coil module need an adapter from the 84/85 wiring harness in order to connect to the 86/87 coil module. Also needed is an adapter plate in order for the 86/87 coil module to attach to the 84/85 bracket. Good luck- Brad
