Hey everyone/anyone. I have a stock 84 gn. I've been battling just getting things back to normal, but now I'm ready to start the upgrades. Wher should I start? I still am running the stock chip. And the only thing it has is a $30 boost controller and some device I was told is for tricking the tps into thinking its at Wot? Not sure too much about it though. I hope I can get some answers and feedback. Every one I've talked to hardly knows Turbo buicks. thanks

First thing i would do is upgrade the fuel system, like changing your fuel pump and add in an adj. fuel press. reg. for starters, also chech out www.gn.org, there's a section for Hot-Air GNs Hot Recipes, hope that helps out alittle, there's alot more you can do to this car, just have to ask yourself, how much you want to go with your car and how much you're willing to spend?

It all depends on how fast you want to go! If you dont want to take any major components off, your kinda stuck with just exhaust and fuel, but head and intake porting are almost a necessity.-- 3 inch DP, dump pipe for racing, bigger turbo at least a John Craig 33, or the new TA48 from www.precisionte.com, the fuel system like hvy stated (www.racetronix.com), an adjustable Fuel Pressure regulator, and contact turbojim on this board for chips. That is Jim Testa. As for exhaust, hooker, dyno max, or ATR are the leaders, just pick a price range. 2 1/2 is a good size, but if you want 3 inch, ATR is a damn good product, just expensive. I think hooker makes a 3 inch setup, but I cant remember. After you do the pump and FPR, look into injectors. Popular items are the 36ers, or 42.5's. Thse two are capable of 11's with the right mods and good tuning, plus, they are very adverse. If you want to intercool, there are a couple kits out there, including an experimental, which is on this hot air board right now. Intercooling is quick bang for the buck and if you get all the mods listed earlier, plus this, good tires and tuning will put you into the 11's!!! Good luck!

Thanks guys, I'm in the process of ordering the atr 2.5 cat back, stainless system and I must say it looks great and i've heard no negitives exept price. I figure its worth it. They told me the flange isn't going to fit on my 84. Any suggestions on a cat or something that will help me adapt. Also I just noticed my passenger manifold has a crack almost around the whole thing. I'm in between here. I've been told headers aren't worth their gain at this point. Any comments/experiences , by the way thank you all for your help, this is my first turbo buick, if i would have visited this site a year ago I woulnd't have wasted $13,000, on a cadillac. !!! thanks guys, Tim
