85 GN with 86 rims factory?

Looking at buying a 85 GN with low miles 1 owner. 2 things stood out to me it has no trunk badge, and it has 86/87 rims? Could it be a late 85 and have the 86 rims? Also seems to be original paint so why wouldn't there be a trunk badge?

All 84-85 GN came with the black turbine wheels. Best bet is to have a look at the rpo label on the bottom side of the trunk lid . Make sure the vin on the rpo matches the vin on the dash.

someone took it off and changed the wheels. i know because i am an original owner of an 85 gn. john

All 84-85 GN came with the black turbine wheels.
Truck lid could have been painted, couldn't find a badge or was to cheap

That is a mystery with lots of questions to be answer, { no answers, no $$$$ }.

The 86-87 rims are date coded. If you look on the back side of them you can find the date the rims were made. My bet is someone added them. A lot of things can be changed over 33 years of the cars existence.
