85 sunroof trouble

Hi, Im thinking about buying a 85 GN and it has a cheasy popup aftermarket sunroof! Is there anyway to correct this? Or is it junk? I hate to see a GN scraped!

You can take it out and weld in a patch panel. Not very hard and shouldn't be that expensive. You'll need a new head linner though.
