Has anyone heard, seen, or done a 86-87 turbo to hot air manifold. What size did you use.

I want to upgrade my turbo without payen 8 somthin for a inefficient hot air turbo.

I adapted a ta-49 to my hotair intake, I just made a new turbo adapter and a adapter for my throttle body, do a search for ta-49 on hotair. You'll find some hits

Had John Craig

I got a junk turbo and had John Craig weld the adaptor to the housing. It's on the car now. So far no problems but, my car has only been around the block a few times. Still a work in progress.

What'd John hit ya up for that? Did he address the alignment of the throttlebody or did ya just leave it at an angle?

Thanks, Kevin :D

Had my own parts

Since I had my own parts, all he did was cut and weld the adaptor at the right height to fit with no problems. I think he charged me 15 bucks to do it. If you have the equiptment and time you could probably do it yourself. As for the offset of the throttle body Lee Thompson took care of that. Last year he took orders for a small plate that resets the throttle body to its normal position. Needless to say I got one when he had them.

Thanks a lot guys, I appriciate it. Keep up the advice and chats, Who knows mabey this will get some ratings.
