Is there anyway to add a small sub or something to the
stock radio and speakers on an 86 GN to add a little sound to the car ?
As someone else said on another post, even the top of the line stereos
in 86 suck in 2008
I dont need blasting thumping stuff, just a little more depth to the sound.
Thanks Steve

Check out the thread Sound System advice needed. I added this to a stock head unit using a Rockford 3Sixty processor.

You can use a HI-Low adapter if you are looking for something inexpensive. The problem with using a HI-Low adapter is they dont produce as much voltage as your amp needs, so your sub with sound a little "thin", and "weak". You can use a Voltage booster with it to help out, but still not the same as using an aftermarket CD player with 2.5-8 volts. Or if you have the money, the JL Audio Clean Sweep is really nice.
