'86 t-type starter solenoid

I need to use a remote starter button while working under the hood. Is there a jumper wire somewhere in the engine compartment that leads to the solenoid primary?

There is a small gauge purple wire that goes from the starter up into the main harness. The wire is routed from the starter and goes into the main loom by the trans dip stick. I guess you could splice it there or I would just hook a wire to the starter itself instead of hacking the harness.
