Is it true that 87 fronts ride a little higher than 86?

My 86 is a bit too low in front, IMO, and I'm thinking about replacing them with stock 87's.

How difficult is it to install them?

From what I understand, yes there was a difference between the 86 and 87. If however you are going to replace them then most use the moog 5606. This is a stock replacement spring just for the turbo cars. If you are going to do the work yourself, you will need to have the new srpings banded before installing them. Ber vary carful taking the old ones out. They can still hurt you.

Ditto on that Moog replacement. I replaced all four at the same time. Cars sits perfectly level all around.

Are the Moog 5606 used in all four corners? Which vendors carry these?

Where do you get those springs? I'm leaning toward used 87 springs because of budget, but if the Moogs aren't that much more.....
Can you be more specific on install?
Should I use spring compression tools?

The 5606s are for the front, and the back uses a different # i just cant remember what they are. Anyway i got mine from a parts dealer here in Vegas called LasVegas Auto Parts. But you will probably find them at parts store near you.

Budget or not, if you are going to replace front springs, I wouldn't even bother with the stockers.

Trust me on this, go with MOOG 5660s, more agressive are the 5662, and most are the 5664.

Your car will handle nicely, not be too harsh, etc.

For the rears, stockers are fine.

Ask around to anyone that has done this swap - makes it feel like a whole new car.
