Finally back from media blast and PC, now I can start reassembly. Stay tuned.:D

in the long run factory stock is going to be worth the most. pick a chevelle ,cuda or 442,gto which is worth more modified or the stock ones? personally i would only do things that are easily reversible

That is starting to change. There have been several modded or custom cars that have brought BIGGER $$$ then stock. Watch the Goodguys magazine.
I do agree on these cars though. I think if mine ever goes...it leaves all stock and I have 3/4 of another car in modded parts left over.

If you take a hemi cuda or ls6 Chevelle or Gto judge that are restored to original for example then throw some cragars on them and some headers and a blower and a bunch of chrome etc..... No way it's gonna be worth more!!! I'm not talking about taking a stock 32 ford and modding it or a 57 Chevy. I was talking about musclecars

Your talking about the very few. I'm referring to the amount of models made that came low option, bare bones. Example...a friend of mine, years ago, took a plain 71 Malibu and stuffed a seriously chromed out 427 in it. Caged it, awesome interior, and killer red paint with graphics. Now he had probably $55,000 in this car in the mid 90's. He sold it at the Hot Rod Supernationals for $65,000. That same 71 Malibu, all stock, restored factory, with the 350 in it would have topped out at $10,000...maybe $12,000 on a good day.
Another friend, Denny Terizich, sold a totally customized 62 Bubble Top Belair with a modded fuel injected 409 to a collector from Texas for $85,000. That car in 2000, factory was about the same money...except his was not numbers matching, so he got $85k out of a 6 banger body with totally killer craftsmanship.
That's what I'm talking about.
