I've tried doing a we4 roll car before. Didn't last long. Mine's fairly stripped. Not many options. Front license plate bracket, passenger remote mirror, rear defrost, key chime (no headlight chime), power windows. That was about it aside from the tinted windshield all the stupid crap. It was even a factory radio delete. Definitely an oddball

For we4's being so rare and only 1,547 ever made, if sure seems like there is more than that on this board, including mine.
Seems the bulk of these cars have survived quite well over the years. I would bet $20 that there is more WE-4's left than 85 TT.

I think there's still a lot of people that call their turbo regals "turbo t's" because they still don't know the difference. Some thing just because they have a black car with chrome bumpers it's a turbo t. I'd be surprised if 2/3 of the produced number are still around. No way to even come close to finding out unless a dmv search was done.

when someone tells me nice GN ! i just nod my head & say thanks.. I ran out of energy explaining that it's not a GN!

I bought mine new, it's almost rotted out, but the RPO sticker is still there. ;)

There was a WE4 registry with about 100 of them in there with their RPO codes etc.

The registry is gone, I'd guess there's 70% of WE4's left now, Special T's?, there's probably one left. :p

So where do you go to look to verify what you have or determine which model you have?

WE4's say so on the RPO codes on the trunk lid, and of course on the window sticker.

Other ways to decode one include the trim package for seating and paint color codes on the cowl tag under the drivers side wiper.

A GN has different interior codes but the same black paint code.

A base Turbo Regal will not have a limited vin or trim codes, no WE2 or WE4 code either.

These cars had a few oddballs that they played around with. The factory Meth ones are pretty cool car as well.
During the latter days of production some cars got interesting parts. The correct parts were ordered in advance and if stock was zero then an "appropriate" sub may have been used. My own car is unique car, Lt Blue 86 T Type, 60/40 split bench, column shift, U52 cluster etc. My is one of about 52 opted like this. Also its the only experimental intercooled turbo Regal to be loosed out what was Buick-Olds-Cadillac North (902 E. Hamilton Ave.,Flint Mich.) The original vehicle number was 46GF143. The car was driven on the "in Flint" quarter mile (corner of Dort Hwy. & Davison Ave.) by the original Buick calibrator (one of the guys in that famous photo) and myself. It blistered the trap at 88mph. Work was req'd. Thats sort of unique.
