hey newbi to the forum and newbi to the turbo scene i got a old 1984 buick regal limited that is going to be my project with a 4.1l i just want to get it running right with a turbo 6 before i make it a gn clone i found on craigslist a guy selling and 84 hot air 3.8l turbo buick engine and ecm for sale for 900 is this a good deal? this is the info on the post.
......................................................................................
selling my "hot air" (no inter-cooler) Turbocharged V6 out of an 84 grand national. the ecu/wiring harness come with it too
The engine has less than 3000 miles on it, and ran when we pulled it.
The headers were cracked, but they have been TIG welded/reinforced since then. they aren't attached, but i do have new gaskets for them.
I have the downpipe too, but one of the bolts is sheared off on the turbo, an easy fix.
It would be cheap bolt in power for a g body.
im looking to get 900, but make me an offer and we can work something out
I also have the intake manifolds (upper/lower), fuel rail, throttle body, injectors off of an 87 grand national (an intercooled model) that ill throw in if you take it all for 900......................................................................................
i want to know what else i would need to do to drop this in my limited if it is a good deal. any opinions and help is greatly appreaciated thanks ahead of time
