I managed a 13.8 at 97.1 and a 13.7 at 97.5 in the past. Though, most of the time those MPH's turned out 14.1-2

Ain't that the truth! I was running 13.6-13.8 at 101 mph, with an abysmal 2.25 60 foot. With a good launch, I think a 97 mph trap speed would get you 13.7 or 13.8. If you're babying the launch like I was though, all bets are off. Good luck

For cars slower than 13.50, et=1370/mph is a good fit, +/- about .3 sec. Faster cars use et=1356/mph. So 97.1 mph is about 14.1 sec.

hahaha, i wish i was in the 14's! i ran my car last nite on the gtech meter on 10 PSI and it turned a 15.02 @ 97.1 MPH! i couldnt understnd the MPH versus the time but my tires spun for about a second and then a little spinning about 10-15 ft. off the launch. i cant wait till moday when i get my car checked out and get those silly popping noises taken care of:)
i think w/a better tire/launch or amybe a lower colant temp i could turn a 14.99 or better on 10 psi.

You said it yourself - your tires are spinning. The mph is a pretty good indicator of horsepower and doesn't change very much with traction, while the et is all about traction. With an old Cutlass I made 5 passes between 14.7 with a decent launch to 16.5 spinning the right rear past half track, all at 94-94.3 mph. Get your traction problem fixed and the 97.1 mph says you have the horsepower to run a 14.1 on average.

G-tech is usually 3-4 mph faster due to the way it measures the speed vs what the track does.
