a/c bolt?

What does the bolt look like that goes into the left side of the a/c compressor? Is it a stud or a bolt?

Long bolt.

I took it apart some time back but now the bolt looks to long. I am sure it was the right bolt. Maybe I am doing something wrong. thanks
