Duttweiler is building another one of these cars right now.
The Motor is more powerful that the one in this car.
It made over 1600HP out of 3 liters.
They are building the twin turbo headers and installing the motor in the car now.

Kenny will be making some passes in this thing before to long.

The Titan car has a single Precision GT4088. 88 Turbo with GT40 turbine wheel. 3 litres 2700lbs Close to what the TSO guys can run as far as the turbo goes.
Mike

I did not know that you could get the 88MM in the GT40.
I thought you needed a GT45 or the Bigger GT47.
Mike thanks for clearing that up, do you have pics of what this turbo looks like?

This is what Joe Lubrant from PTE said

'Cal you are correct in saying that the GT4788 offered by PTE (Garrett) is very similar, it uses the same type T5 (Y2K THUMPER) bolt pattern and does use an 88mm compressor wheel.

A 3.0 Liter straight 6 in a 2700# car just went 209mph in the 1/4 mi. with a GT4788 turbo. You can see these larger turbo's generate some serious power."

If the GT4788 is capable of making a 2700lb car run 209mph in the 1/4 they really underrated that turbo!

Also, on Titan's website www.titanmotorsports.com it clearly says that Innovative Turbo and Airwerks by BorgWarner is one their sponsors so why would they be using one of Precision's Garrett turbos:confused:

Add 10%, because of the methanol carrying it's own oxygen, to the rated HP of the turbo and it's in the ballpark

From Titan.....

"We actaully have an 88mm Turbo on it. We ran it with a 91 in the past but had a problem and the only spare available was an 88mm and it worked well so it's still on there today."

Guess Joe was right.....

Wait, Kenny Duttweiler owns Titan?

Duttweiler does not own Titan.
It seems that Titan has asked Duttweiler
to finish a new car for them and maybe
take it on a couple shake down passes.
The motor made over 1640HP and is a twin turbo.
This is not to bad for 3.0 litre motor.

Oh ok.So it uses dual T88's on it?

Wherein the bay area do you live?

I would think that he would be using around 72mm turbos for that but I can probably find out. I live in San Carlos.

John, the largest twins you can use in the Pro RWD class is 72mm so I'm sure that's probably what's being used....
