I have two T-top mounted gauges. One is Caspers' knock gauge, the other is an A/F gauge. I ran the ground for them from the firewall, attached to the same bolt as the braided steel strap that attaches to the block. I got the power from the fuse panel, IGN tap. Knock gauge signal runs to the ECM, A/F runs to the oxygen sensor (I tapped into the wire just before the plug at the sensor). When I turn the key on, the A/F gauge pegs at full rich (all bars lit) and the knock gauge does nothing. Since the power and ground are "Y"'d at the gauges, I know the knock gauge is getting juice. I guess the question is: If I had accidentally reversed the "signal" feeds, would it cause this behavior (both wires are blue up at the gauges - lost track of which was which? Even if they were reversed, though, I thought I'd get a green light on the knock gauge. Should the green light on the knock gauge light regardless of the signal wire (i.e., is it just a "I have power" light?).

TIA,
Jim
