I'm interested in 87 Grand Nationals, but I've seen a lot of designations that I'm not familiar with. If you havea moment, and can point me in the right direction I would be greatly appreciative.

Specificly, I've seen WH1, WE4 (or something similar) posted around here and other places. Can someone tell me the difference?

I'm not looking for T Types, but really Grand Nationals. As I understand it, the T Types are the same powertrain, but have a more standard buick interior and other color choices. IS that where the deisgnations are important, or is there an "undesireable" Grand National designation?

Thank you in advance,
-J.R.

A GN would be a WE2.

WH1's (designer series T-Types) and WE4's (Black '87 T-types) are subsets of T-types (note that in '87, T-types were called Turbo T's, as you could get a "non Turbo T" with a 307 V8 or N/A V6)

All have the same drivetrain (except the G80 Positraction was optional)

'86 and '87 cars are vitrually identical with identical performance potential.

In stock form, a T-type is probably a little quicker than a GN due to slightly lighter weight.
