Hello guys, im new here, you all have a nice forum with lots of good info on it.:) Now dont start hating on me too much as I am a Ford dude with a blown mustang that im about to do a DIY Meth kit on. I like Turbo Buicks a lot, but being 17 kinda hampers my buying ability.:( Anyways, on to the questions.

What is better, PSI or GPM? I see pumps that flow low psi but have large GPM rates. This seems to be the pump of choice...http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/...reId=6970&productId=9414&R=9414&issearch=2687 but is this the best pump to buy? I read that the pumps from Northern Tool had been known to leak and require constant tightening of the screws on top, but also read this can be taken care of by some loctite. Also, I read that you can make the pump a 100psi pump with a $20 piece that Shurflo makes. Would it be better to buy that pump and then the $20 addition or buy the 100psi pump first hand?

Another question, the way my blower is mounted I can not run a IC. Vortech makes a Aftercooler but I refuse to pay $1300 for something that doesnt work half as good as injection. So this leads to my question, would I benefit from running the 50/50 mix? I really want the kit for cooling but the allowment of extra timing/power really makes me happy. So would the 50% water help with the cooling, or will straight Meth cool too?

I know this has been beat around the bush a million times, but I was interested in buying one of Razors Nozzles and wonder what size would be correct for my application. On my 15psi im looking for somewhere in the mid 300rwhp range if this helps.

Last question, I promise.:p If I go with a Hobbs pressure switch now, can I upgrade to one of Razors Progressive Controlers later with no problems other than the wiring changes? Thanks guys.:)

Well I lied, I have another question. If the Pump is mounted below the Nozzle head, is it required to have a soleniod between the pump and nozzle? Or is it just a safety feature?

I have two diy alky kits in service. I ran my first pump three years before I had to tighten the screws. The other was dripping a few months after installation. Of course, I tightened the screws to stop the leak. I wouldn't call this constant tightening. I've since been made aware of applying loctite to the screws to correct the problem. Let's not make a mountain out of mole hill. ;)

There is a little bit more, teh hoses, tanks, lines have to resist methanol. Then there is the issue of volume being sprayed in.

The pump allows pressure adjustment by simply turning a screw on the top of the pump. This will change its flow. Now whether you need 50 PSI or 100 PSI on the M15 nozzle.. man thats a question that will be answered when the system starts getting dialed in. So to throw a blanket statement that 100 PSI is whats needed.

Solenoid is needed if any part of the system will be higher than the nozzle. Or if the nozzle is placed after the throttle body.

The controller(PAC) question, you will need to run a new wire from pump to controller. And add appropriate MAP sensor.

The loctite deal.. shhhh.. quit giving out the secrets :D

Thanks guys, I have a pretty good idea of what is going on. Thanks for help, btw I wasnt trying to say anything bad about those pumps. Just asking about what I heard.:p

Does Meth or Water cool better?
