Olds had a 12 bolt that was not the same as a chevy 12 bolt. Olds 12 bolt had 12 bolts but still had an 8.5" ring gear like a big 10 bolt. Chevy 12 bolts have a 8.875" ring gear. Besides, back then you could order a car however you wanted it.

Yes, I remembered after that they had 12 bolds on the cover but 10 on the ring.
