Hey Guys...I have a friend that has a pts 2800 9/11 converter that is working great. But he's looking for a change (3200 stall). We talk to Chris about his 10.5...Very nice Guy....Who is Pat that i've been reading about on some of the post. Or do we just stay with Mike at pts..Please your help is needed...Thanks.

If the PTS 9/11 is still working good, why not just have it restalled to whatever you want. It will be a lot less to restall it than it will be to buy another.

Send it back to PTS and they can forward it on to TCS, the people that made the converter, to have it restalled.

After shipping and handling times 2, and was told that reinstall was going to cost around 350.00. He can get 450.00 for the converter loc. Has the reinstall price come down for the 9/11 lu

I don't know how much they charge for a re-stall, so it would be best to call them directly. However, even if you are correct with the $350 price, it is still half the cost of a new converter. Don't forget that if you buy the new converter you will still be paying shipping one way.

restall: $350 + 100 (Max shipping) = $450

new converter $700 + 50(max shipping) = $750

It still looks like it is a savings of $300 to re-stall the old one.

All that said, you can probably sell the old 9/11 for $300 and then end up with a brand new converter in the car for the same price it would be to re-stall it.

I have heard good things about CK's 10.5, but have no first hand knowledge.

I think Pats restalls them for about $200. And if you use fedex ground it only cost about $20. for shipping.
