About to ditch intercooler

Well it sounds like how mine has been anyway.One step forward 2 back.Did you put the new injector harness on?I'm sure it was needed.Are you sure the 86/87 ecm conversion is correct?Did you add the map circuit and get all the wires correct and were they solderd?I might also try a different chip.Good luck!You'll get it and when you do you will know your sh-t!

You obviously have problems besides the TB and intercooler. I am still confident your car will idle just fine with the intercooler and the TB moved to the pressure side. Unless there's a leak in the intercooler or plumbing, it can't make a difference in idle with the TB moved. One other thing, with the TB on the intake side of the turbo, running a bigger turbo makes the idle and drivability problem much worse.

I justin ran my car today and was running 15.2 with the poston chip on setting 3 I got balls and closed the wastgate all the way and fuel pressure at 50psi and went from 15.2 to a 14.4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not bad because with my intercooler I ran 14.02 ????? I am going to get bigger injectors and a TRanslator Plus on this month. I will be tearing my car apart this week to fix my exhaust leaks What do you all think about my time slip 14.4 ???? feedback will be great. When from 15lbs of boost to 19lbs I have never felt 19lbs since 2002 it feels great but still get retard of 4. MY NEXT MODS SHOULD GET ME IN THE 13'S I HOPE BECAUSE MY MAF IS READING 200 WOT AND WITH THE NEW TRANSLATOR PLUS IT SHOULD READ 500 !!

It will read the same, just have the capability of going to 500 vs 255. Exhaust leaks are a killer. With the car in excellent tune and just the basic mods like chip, exhaust, filter, and boost, you should be in the bottom 14s on street tire.
