Do the search much info is out there. Some like it some don't. I converted over and like it . Parts bought new Compressor,dryer,orifice tube and switch. Parts cleaned and flushed condenser,evaporator. Switched over to 134a

Had a shop do mine a few years ago for $750, got quotes as high as $1100. I'm happy with temperature results here in So. Cal.
Could of done the labor myself and paid for a evac/recharge, but that would of been around $500, and most auto stores give 3 mo. on the compressor, whereas I had a 12 mo. warranty on the job and even if the compressor is warrantied out, your still out the evac/recharge cost a second time.
