Hey guys I had a question and was wondering if any one could give some suggestions. the Ac was removed from my car about two years ago I just recently finished removing the rest for a Delete plate. Every since the original owner has had the car he has had problems with the Alternator belt Squeaking.
I have replaced the belt atleast four or five times since I have had the car. Usually starting off as a squeak then the belt will completely tear to pieces.
I have tried smaller belts, Adjusting the alt higher to tighten the belt , I have used tooth paste, Soap and Dressing. Also just recently the last one was chewed up , got a smaller size , was fine for a few days then started squeaking again but mostly when throttle is applied
.
I sprayed Some WD 40 on the bolt that adjusts the height of the alternator and on the pully and belt itself squeak has been gone since but I am sure it will come back. What do you guys think???
