scan master accuracy?

according to my sm2 my tps is set at .44
but the ds says 48. which one is correct?

anyone???
i guess i'll hook up a volt meter and compare the readings..

Well i went out tonite and checked
heres what i came up with
scanmaster Direct scan volt meter
tps .40 .42 .43
4.58 4.62 4.68
so which would be the correct reading?????????

Voltage readings

If you got the voltmeter reading by back probing the wires to the TPS then that would explain the higher voltage reading to the ones that are being read by the scan tools. The voltage differences between the voltmeter and Scanmaster is only 30mV at idle and 100mV at WOT. The voltage differences is the voltage drop through the wires feeding the ECM. The voltage that the ECM sees is what is important for the ECM is what is changing your fueling, timing etc. Hope that helps.
