Adapter for Large Oil Filter.

I'm looking thru one of the vendors sites,and notice a threaded piece that allows use of a larger diameter oil filter.

Wouldn't the o-ring mating surface have to be enlarged to accommodate a larger filter?

I've got a PF47 on there now. But I'd like to go fatter.

the oil filter it uses- for a Buick V8, i believe- has the same size o ring as the PF47/PF52, which is a Wix #51040

the bigger filter Wix part # is 51258

the o rings aren't the same, but they are close enough.

the fatter filter seals in the same place - the part works great

Assuming you are talking about the RJC piece. I thought the same thing until I tried it. Works great.
