Hi All,
Here's a simple question. Anyone know where to get small add on fans for oil and transmission coolers? Since upgrading my radiator fan to a CAS unit it now only catches a portion of the transmission cooler. I'm thinking of adding a small 5" or so push fan to the transmission cooler. My thinking is that the added flow won't hurt the radiator cooling either.
I recently installed an oil cooler as well. The position of the oil cooler it horizontal under my intercooler (it's a small front mount). I don't have enough room to fit one of those big dual function coolers with fan, besides I've already got 2 separate ones. The oil cooler fan would need to be a pull fan vs. a push fan. Some of the write up's seem to differentiate between push and pull so I assume there might be a difference vs. just reversing the polarity. I was thinking of stopping by Radio Shack and seeing what they had for 12 volt fans but thought I'd ask you guys first. I'm not too worried about water as I don't take the car to the track if there is a hint of rain.
Thanks,
